Remove that link!

Remove that link in the lower left corner. I always click it accidentally while the timer is running. This is really getting on my nerves. This is one of the worste usability errors since ages I've seen in a flash game...

Apart from that the game was ok. The music was descent. the graphics were ok.

I had to start over again

...because my browser crashed accidently because of a different website.
Please consider a safe funtion for the game.

All but the last gem :-/

I really liked that game...except that I'm trying to get that last gem over the lava hole for hours now (any help would be appreciated!).

Things that were quite good:
- multiple save system
- retro style graphic
- sound
- user interface
- retro control system (I would not prefer a mouse over that)

This gem collecting system should be improved; e.g. sometimes a gem disappears without showing up in my inventory, etc.
More powerups would be cool as well; e.g. a wall-jump powerup.

Very strange bug?

I finished the original chaos version and came back to play it again (I love it!); never had any problems with this one.
Now I wanted to play this version [CLNR], but I can't get over level 3 (the one where you have to evade red freaks for the first time). Every time I click the door to get to level 4 I get a noisy screen (as if I died). Every time I click on repeat I get the noisy screen again.
Based on your walkthrough video I assume that this is not the way it should be. Maybe a strange error related to Flash player 10?

I've just tested it, and it worked fine.
P.S. Thanks for making me play this agaiNAAAAAGGHAGHAGAHGHGHAGAHGAHGAHGHA WHY.

Not that original

It was fun, but apart from the title, the playable characters and the endboss there was no real difference between this and SMB2; I think that it could be made funnier and more fitting to the mafioso theme.
I didn't have any performance problems, but I found it distracting, that I had to switch to the mouse now and then; I would have preferred if I could stay with the keyboard.

Bug:
If you start with Maria and decide to select Giuseppe for the 2nd level (the arrow already preselects him), you will play again as Maria, instead of Giuseppe.

so-so

The music was ok, but I'd still like to have buttons to disable the music separately from the sound effects. The title/menu music got really on my nerves!

The graphics were quite nice and photo realistic; therefor the cartoony pause and mute buttons looked very awkward.
What's about that square written behind "Score"? O_o
And how do I actually acquire score points? I guess it depends on the time, but this is left very unclear.

Have you ever tried to make a better distinction between solid parts and background parts (I'm not talking about the background layer)? There were some situations were I found it hard to tell which lead to frustration as I was unable to plan ahead.
Please either remove the foreground layer or make it partly transparent if it overlaps the character; in the current form it is just very annoying.

The controls were suitable. I liked the possibility of pressing "Space" inbetween levels, but you should have taken care that this also works before level 9 (where I had to use the mouse pointer again).
The game doesn't seemed progress that much, i.e. there were not so much more interesting parts in later levels. Something like decaying or moving parts would have spiced up the game.

The scenario was somewhat strange. Cars which were turned upside down or stacked on top of another? Billions of snow mobiles? But all houses remained in shape?
I know that a lot players don't care about this, but a background story would have been nice; even if it would have been only 2-3 sentences...

Overall I found that there you seriously put some effort in some parts of that game, but that the game was not very innovative at all.

Nothing really new and some strange stuff

There are already tons of archer defending games and this doesn't add something very special to it.

The graphics are ok, while I personally dislike those rendered sprites; but well that might be just my taste.
But it's hardly deniable, that the animations for the faster creatures just look hilarious in their speed and unfitting to the game theme.

The music was not my taste either but there was no option to turn it off without turning off the sound effects. If I don't want any sound at all, then I could just turn off my speaker as well.
As an additional note: If you turn off the music in the title screen, you can't turn it on again (or so it seems to me).
But the sound effects were OK for me.

But what I really dislike about this game is how it handles the special shots. I can't combine them; well, that might still be fine. It might have some reason for that.
But then if I cast a new spell, any remaining special shots of the last spell are also not saved. Sorry, but this sucks seriously in my sense!

Awesome!

At first I thought the complex are way too complicated but I soon got used to it.
The sound is overall well fitted and appropriate.
The game play is quiet balanced.

I hope you'll make a sequel.

Not that good

Personally I liked the first part better, but this is not reason for the bad score.

Positive
* there is an intro
* it's not plain sokoban, but an extended version with teleporters and transporters
* the graphics all nicely fit the style and the animations are quiet good
* there's a level editor
* there is a pause function with an options dialog
* there is decent music and sfx

Negative
* there is NO outro at all, although one might expect such a thing according to the intro ("if they are all moved onto the monkey pedistals ...") and therefor tries to solve _all_ levels and is annoyed of not getting any reward for that
* there is no help function. actually there's a link to a help website, but you first have to come up with the idea of pressing "P" within a level (and you can't access the menu from the map btw)
* the level editor is definitely not an example of good usability. I don't go into details here but you can find tons of other tile-based level editors which are way more user friendly than this

Cool game, some improvements needed

I really liked the game.
1) good storyline
2) good gameplay and controls
3) nice graphics
4) good sound effects and fitting music

Some possible improvements:
1) Add a pause option
2) Add a option to mute the music separately from the sound effects
3) Add a keyboard config option or at least don't make use of key "Z"; there are many people out there that use something else than QWERTY, such as AZERTY or QWERTZ
4) I don't know why there was no checkpoint right before the final boss. I had no problems to get through that level, but it got on my nerves that I had to play it again, because of the
5) If you want your level codes to be really secure, use more uncommon encryption techniques such as caesar cipher or combine several at once. At least for me it wasn't that hard to figure it out, after I saw the "==" at the end...
